The 7 R’s Devo Journey – Step 5 assignment for today is to Recognize all our Heavenly Father has revealed during this journey and reword and expand the verses into a prayer of thanksgiving, praise, and worship.
Why is Giving Thanks to God Important?
First Thessalonians 5:18 states: “In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
We are to be thankful not only for the things we like but for the circumstances we don’t like. When we make the choice to thank God for everything He allows to come into our lives, we keep bitterness at bay.
We cannot be both thankful and bitter at the same time. It is through the hard times that we grow the most.

7 R’s Devo Journey – Step 5 EXAMPLE:
I have used the verse that I wrote as a personal note from God as my starting point. This is my prayer of Thankfulness and worship to my Lord.
Abba,
I want to thank you that I was personally created and formed by you. Thank you, Lord, that I do not need to be afraid. I worship you and thank you for the ransom you paid with the Life of Your precious Son. What a privilege to be called to you by name.
Amen
Praying the Word back to God is praying God’s will and will build your faith. There is power in speaking and praying the Word OUT LOUD.
Satan cannot read your thoughts, but he can sure hear your words. Be a Warrior! Pray the Word to God out loud and give Satan and his evil companions a swift kick on down the road!
Rev. 12:11 states: “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony ”.
Thank You, Abba for each sister who seeks to grow closer to your heart. Thank you for being with us on this devotional journey. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen!
