A Perspective Change is Needed

Did the Creator establish a religion for mankind to follow? Or did mankind turn the plan of our Creator into a religious tradition? Is it possible that a perspective change is needed?

According to some estimates, there are roughly 4,200 religions in the world.  Christianity is one of them. Again my question is; Is Christianity a religion? And if it is, was it created by God or man?

Christianity tells me I must be “saved”. “Saved’ from what? If I am not “saved” what happens?

Just what did our Creator have in mind when He created mankind in His image?

Did Jesus speak of religion when He dwelt among us or something else?

Have the traditions of mankind helped or hindered the message of Christ?

These are just a few questions I ask myself. We can become so entrenched in traditions that we do not stop and ask ourselves why we keep repeating a tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation.

This is the first installment looking at the Kingdom of God. The goal of this series is to establish beyond a doubt that accepting the invitation of Christ to be “born again” into the Kingdom of God with all the rights and privileges of citizenship (which seems too good to be true), is where we want to pledge our allegiance. As you read through the series, I hope it helps you to understand our wonderful God a little better.

Some traditions have great value in our lives. Others, not so much. Ever heard people whine and say “but, that’s how we always do it.” Good grief! Sometimes a perspective change is needed. As a friend of mine would say; “we need our mirror adjusted.”

Perspective Change – We Didn’t Create Government

Contrary to the belief of separation of church and state; Have you ever considered that Our Creator God established the first Government? He is the King of His domain. Heaven and Earth. He was and Is the King of the spiritual world. Our Creator is the ultimate Politician, the Sovereign King of all!

God kicked Satan out of God’s kingdom. Satan In his pride persuaded 1/3 of the heavenly beings into joining in on the attempt to unseat God. The attempt failed, naturally. The result of the coo attempt was expulsion from the kingdom of God to await their final judgment.

12 How are you fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!
How you are cut down to the ground, you who weaken the nations!
13 For you have said in your heart, “I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will sit also on the mount of the congregation, in the recesses of the north; 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.” 15 Yet you shall be brought down to Hell, to the sides of the pit.

A Change of Perspective

Perspective Change – We Were to be Rulers

This war that started in heaven has never stopped. Moreover, it has intensified, since God created mankind in His image and placed us on the earth to have dominion over it.

Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Genesis 1:26

God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Genesis 1:28

The Archeological Dig Continues

As I have explained in previous posts, I am on a quest to reveal the “Unknown God” the Athenians worshiped. I have already posted pages of my finds that you can access in the menu bar. We can already begin to answer the questions at the beginning of this post. Hopefully, as the dig continues, we will understand the Kingdom of God and our place in it. As the title states, I believe a perspective change is needed to have a clearer understanding.
