The Power of Words Can Bring Life or Death

Remember the saying “sticks and stones can break my bones but words can not harm me?” Well, I’m going to disagree! Words can harm you. The words you speak can bring life or death.

“The tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell… But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God.  Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing.” – James 3:6-10

Consider for a moment all the lies that have been repeated over and over just in the past two years. Lies from our government, the medical establishment, CDC, WHO, the UN, and now lies over what is going on between Russia and Ukraine. It’s a worldwide pandemic of words that will kill you. It’s called propaganda!

With that said, I was perusing the many websites that contain all matters of quotes. Some are encouraging, others funny, and some even are sad. Then there are many that are downright stupid!

Can You Believe these Quotes?

The chief economist of the World Bank, Lawrence Summers, explains why we should export toxic wastes to Third World countries:

I’ve always thought that underpopulated countries in Africa are vastly under-polluted.

Here is a quote I found from Marion Barry, mayor of Washington, D.C.

If you take out the killings, Washington actually has a very low crime rate.

Othal Brand, a member of a Texas pesticide review board, said this concerning chlordane:

Sure, it’s going to kill a lot of people, but they may be dying of something else anyway.

However, take a gander at the ten quotes below. I find them mind-blowing considering what we are facing today.

10 Mind-blowing Quotes We Need to Consider

Mankind would do well to pay attention when those who think they are ‘god’ and tell us the plans they have for us, little people. I have listed a few below.

  1. “Tell a lie loud enough and long enough and people will believe it.”
  2. “It is a quite special secret pleasure how the people around us fail to realize what is really happening to them.”
  3. “The greater the crime perpetrated by the leadership, the less likely it is that the people will ever believe their leaders to be capable of perpetrating such an event.”
  4. “Let me control the textbooks, and I will control the state.”
  5. “What luck, for governments, that the people are stupid!”
  6. “We have to put a stop to the idea that it is a part of everybody’s civil rights to say whatever he pleases.”
  7. “By means of shrewd lies, unremittingly repeated, it is possible to make people believe that heaven is hell – and hell heaven. The greater the lie, the more readily it will be believed.”
  8. “Terrorism is the best political weapon for nothing drives people harder than a fear of sudden death.”
  9. “By the skillful and sustained use of propaganda, one can make a people see even heaven as hell or an extremely wretched life as paradise.”
  10. “The art of leadership . . . consists in consolidating the attention of the people against a single adversary and taking care that nothing will split up that attention. . . . The leader of genius must have the ability to make different opponents appear as if they belong to one category.”

Ok, I must admit that my mouth hung open as I read the above quotes. Can you guess who was the person who spoke the above words? None other than Adolf Hitler!

Those who believe themselves to be the great and awesome Oz, are using the same playbook as Hitler on us and most have no idea. Looking at the below quotes can you say déjà vu?

Joseph Stalin Quotes

A Few Presidential Quotes

Abraham Lincoln

“Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God’s side, for God is always right.” ~ Abraham Lincoln

  • “Nations do not die from invasion; they die from internal rottenness.”
  • “America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.”
  • “You must remember that some things legally right are not morally right.”
  • “I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country… corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed.”

“We have been preserved, these many years, in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power, as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving Grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us!” ~ Abraham Lincoln

Harry S. Truman

~”Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear.”
~”When even one American – who has done nothing wrong – is forced by fear to shut his mind and close his mouth – then all Americans are in peril.”

Franklin D. Roosevelt

~”In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way.”
~”Presidents are selected, not elected.”

~”The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.”

Only the Words of Jesus Christ, Contain Eternal Life

Now we get to the reason for this post. There are many good resources for encouragement and knowledge using the internet. However, there is only ONE place where you are guaranteed 100% truth in what you read and that is God’s Word.

Over the years I have taken on various inspired projects that I felt were God-given directions, that help me in my walk and understanding of our Creator. These projects may seem crazy to you. However, by following through with them, I have learned and grown closer to my Lord. You can find the PDF versions to download for free by going here.

My latest project is a compilation of the quotes of Jesus Christ in topic order which I will begin to post on 4/14/22. I will start this series of posts with the quotes of Jesus during the week of His crucifixion. I hope these will bring you encouragement and peace as we wait for our Savior’s return!

“Once people stop believing in God, the problem is not that they will believe in nothing; rather, the problem is that they will believe anything.”
