I got out of bed this morning (Praise God) and what to my wondering eyes did I see? It was white as snow, a landscape of snow, twinkling back at me!
Wait, What? Yep for sure, Snow in the bluegrass state of Kentucky. 18 degrees with a windchill of 5 degrees.
If I remember, I moved from the north to get away from the cold and snow. However as I took my doggie, Ginger outside, God reminded me of the scripture that states:
“Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;”
Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
What a wonderful promise to us that choose to follow Christ and be part of His Kingdom.
I remember all my sins of the past and they are many. However, as a citizen of heaven, they now are as white as snow.
Amazing, this Creator of ours. He who knows our sinful state better than we do made a way to redeem us from the curse of disobedience with the blood of His precious Son, Jesus Christ.
It was His Scarlet Blood that makes those that come to Him in repentance for the forgiveness of our treason, white as snow. And as the fresh snow sparkles and glitters like diamonds in the sunlight, we also sparkle like diamonds as we follow our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
