We are in the season where many celebrate the birth of Jesus our Savior. As Christians, everyday needs to be a celebration. We above all people have much to celebrate. Unto us, a child is born.
Unto Us, a Child is Born
For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. – Isaiah 9.6-7
Lesser Known Facts
Last year I put together a three-part series looking deeper into the birth of Jesus Christ from a teaching I read by Rick Renner ministries.
- Part one looks at lesser-known facts regarding Mary and Joseph and their backgrounds. POST 1: The Birth of Jesus – Lesser Known Facts
- Part two focuses on the travel to Bethlehem, the shepherds, and the Angelic proclamation of the birth of Jesus Christ. POST 2: The Birth of Jesus Christ – Part 2
- In part three the Christmas story continues with a look at the Wise men/Magi and Herod the Great. POST 3: The Christmas Story Continues
I hope you will take the time to read them and reflect on our wonderful Savior. The greatest gift was the gift of His life given for us, so we could be with Him forever!

Jesus Is the Perfect Gift
The following is an excerpt from an article by Kenneth W. Hagin titled Jesus Is the Perfect Gift.
God knew we needed a Savior, Deliverer, Redeemer, Healer, and Friend. We needed someone who was fully God and fully man. Only Jesus could meet this need.
Being fully God enabled Jesus to carry our sin. His Deity enabled Him to be the Sacrifice Who could bear the sin of the world along with the penalties of sickness, poverty, and spiritual death.
Being fully human allowed Jesus to identify with what we go through, enabling Him to provide for all of our needs and desires and to care for us in any situation.
If our greatest need had been information, technology, money, or pleasure, God would have sent us an educator, a scientist, an economist, or an entertainer.
The truth is, our greatest need was redemption, and God sent a Redeemer! God knew what we needed, and He sent the perfect Gift.

The King of Kings

Unto us a child was born, as a man, He was crucified for our sins. As the King of king and Lord of lords, He is returning soon to put an end to all the injustices of a world that have turned its back on the One who loves them most.
Let us celebrate His birth, but let us also celebrate and rejoice as we remember His Words from Revelation 22.12-13:
“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”
Merry Christmas!
