Wow, what a week this has been! We have witnessed how quickly events can change from one moment to the next. In the twinkling of an eye, the whole world has changed. In some ways that is, in others not so much.
The “preppers” were right. Stocking up in case of emergencies doesn’t look so outlandish. Being prepared makes sense. People who live in areas where severe weather could occur know what to do to be prepared. We need to be prepared for unexpected events. However, we need to be sure that our soul and spirit being are prepared also.
The Most Important Preparation
We are being given advice from our government on the best way to avoid becoming infected. Most of them are well-intentioned. Others have a Satanic agenda that has been in the works since Satan committed treason against Yahweh.
Friends, we are very close to the return of Jesus Christ. He is coming to set up His kingdom here on earth after the soon approaching tribulation. But before the tribulation, as outlined in the Book of Daniel and Revelation the Lord will gather His Church body home, in the twinkling of an eye. Will you be ready to go? Will you be prepared for His catching away of the Saints? My prayer is you will be.
What in the World is Going On?
I have listened to many of my favorite trusted Pastors to get their take on what is going on around us. Is this just another virus? Is this caused by Satan’s human puppets for a purpose? Could this be a judgment from God? Is the church body being disciplined? In my opinion, it is yes to all the above.
Satan hates your guts. Therefore, it’s his goal to drag you to Hell. To turn you away from the God who loves you so much that He gave His Son Jesus Christ to pay the penalty for your sins. Satan has had thousands of years to implement his plan to set us up to accept the Anti-Christ which he will empower. His fake trinity if you will. Thinking man has the answer we will readily accept anyone who says they have the answer. Anyone, that is, unless it is Jesus Christ. He alone has all the answers!
God has Satan on a Leash
But as I explained in an earlier post, God has this devil on a leash. He can go no farther than what God allows! Remember in the book of Job 1:6-12, that Satan had to ask permission. Nothing has changed. He still needs to ask God’s permission.
That is Good News for those that follow Christ. Scripture states that we all go through thought times, However, with Jesus, we will overcome. And if some of us die? We are immediately in the presence of our Redeemer and King!
John 16:33 – “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” (NLT)
Romans 5:3 – ” We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. (NLT)
1 Peter 1:6 – ” So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. (NLT)
1 Peter 1:7 – “These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. (NLT)
2 Peter 2:9 – “So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while keeping the wicked under punishment until the day of final judgment. (NLT)
A Judgement or Discipline from God?
I believe this is a wakeup call for His children. Time is short and He does not want any to perish. The bible is full of various scriptures where God sent plagues, famines, locusts, and other punishments. Why, because His people did not listen to Him. Deuteronomy 28-30, contains a list of the 17 promised blessings for obedience and 35 punishments for the Israelites if after going into the promised land they disobeyed and followed after the gods of the land. Should we be treated any differently?
What if as a Parent?
What parent if he loved his child would stand by and watch their child play in the middle of traffic and not warn and discipline them? God loves us too much to let us continue to destroy ourselves and others. If He wanted He could just allow ourselves to happily skip along the wide road to the gates of Hell. We deserve it. But once again God is intervening to get our attention so we will turn back to Him before it’s too late.
“Enter at the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who are going through it” – Matthew 7:13 (MEV)
But soon He will say enough. Be ready, because, in a twinkling of an eye, those that long for His appearing will be raptured.
“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet, for the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible will put on incorruption, and this mortal will put on immortality.” – 1 Corinthians 15:52-53 (MEV)
Then there will be nothing to stand in Satan’s way and the worst seven years of all creation will be upon those left behind. DO NOT BE ONE OF THEM!
