Genesis 22:1-24

God Our Provider

Hebrew Name of God: Jehovah Jireh – The Lord Will Provide

I know God is my provider, BUT? I’ve seen Him provide for others, BUT? He provided what I needed in the past, But? But what?

What IF He doesn’t?

In all honesty, the deceitful one plants these thoughts in your mind. Consequently, his whole goal is to get you to doubt the word of your Father God.

However, in contrast to the treacherous poison of the father of lies, God, does not lie.

God is not a man, so He does not lie. He is not human, so he  does  not  change His mind. Has He ever spoken and failed to act? Has He ever promised and not carried it through?

Numbers 23:19

In Gen 22:14, God instructed Abraham to sacrifice Issac on an altar. (Don’t panic, God was NOT going to allow Abraham to follow through with this instruction.) As Abraham was ready to plunge the knife into his son, God stopped him and provided a ram for the sacrifice. Abraham called this place Jehovah Jireh, one of the many names of God in Hebrew that displays His many attributes.

Accordingly, listed below are a few scriptures to encourage and strengthen your faith. Remember, God Will Provide!

The Ultimate Provision
The Ultimate Gift

The Ultimate Gift God Provided

  • Salvation through Jesus Christ Eph 2:8-10
  • The free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Rm 6.23
  • For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. John 3:16 AMPC

God Our Provider, Will You Accept His Ultimate Gift?

If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Romans 10:9-13
