I wanted to share this prayer I wrote a few years back which I included in my study manual based on the book of Psalms. It includes scripture references. I was using this prayer to teach others the awesome power of praying the scriptures. It speaks perfectly my desire to my Lord. I pray it blesses you.
Dearest Heavenly Father,
You are the Great God and Great King above all gods. 95:3 You are the hope of everyone on earth. 65:5 You are the everlasting God, 90:02 You are the One who is supreme over all the earth. 83:18 I cry out to you my Most High God, for it is only you God, who will fulfill your purpose for me. 57:2 Keep me from deliberate sins! Don’t let them control me. Then I will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin. 19:13 Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me and I will be whiter than snow. 51:7 Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.51:10 May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart, be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. 19:14 Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly. 31:15 Lord, don’t hold back your tender mercies from me. Let your unfailing love and faithfulness always protect me. 40:11 Protect me, for I am devoted to you. Save me, for I serve you and trust you. You are my God. 86:2 I love you Lord because you hear my voice and my prayer for mercy. 116:1 Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow. 25:4 Teach me your ways, O Lord, that I may live according to your truth! Grant me purity of heart, so that I may honor you. 86:11 Help me understand the meaning of your commandments,and I will meditate on your wonderful deeds. 119:27 Teach me your decrees, O Lord; I will keep them to the end. 119:33 Give me understanding and I will obey your instructions; I will put them into practice with all my heart. 119:34 Guide my steps by your Word, so I will not be overcome by evil. 119:133 Search me, O God, and know my heart; Test me and know my anxious thoughts. 119:125 Give discernment to me, your servant; Then I will understand your laws. 139:23 I will fulfill my vows to you, O God, and will offer a sacrifice of thanks for your help. 56:12 I rejoice in your Word like one who discovers a great treasure. 119:162 I will praise you Lord at all times. I will constantly speak your praises. 34:1 Let all that I am praise the Lord, with my whole heart, I will praise your Holy Name! 103:1 AMEN
Praying the Scriptures back to God is praying God’s will and will build your faith. There is power in speaking and praying the Word OUT LOUD. Satan cannot read your thoughts, but he can sure hear your words. Rev. 12:11 states “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony”.
