In my previous post I asked the question: Are you being deceived? Likewise. how would you know for sure? I then passed on information from my research to help you become more aware of the many techniques used by those who are trying to deceive you. In this post, we will dig deeper and look at the master of lies and deception.
This master of lies and deception is the teacher from which mankind has learned all too well.
This master is none other than Lucifer, the leader of 1/3 of the angels that committed treason against their Creator, Yahweh. Some refer to him as Satan. (Jude 6)
Jesus stated when speaking to the Pharisees in John 8:44:
For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He [Satan/Lucifer] was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.
Therefore, according to the Word of God, Satan is:
- a murderer from the beginning
- always hated the truth
- there is no truth in him
- he is a liar
- lies are consistent with his character
- he is father of lies
Moreover, we also read that those who love to do the evil things he does, are his children. Ouch!
This statement of Jesus explains who is behind the events over the past 18+ months. As uncomfortable as this may be to comprehend the truth will set you free. Moreover, the truth of Gos’d Word is the truth whether you believe it or not. God does not lie.
Lies and Deception of The Spiritual Realm
My last post focused on the answers in the “natural realm” or the secular ways of understanding who is lying to you. Today, we will look at how followers of Christ can protect themselves from falling for the lies and deceit backed by the master of them.
Remember, the Word of God ALWAYS trumps man’s words. His Word is where a Follower of Christ should always go to first for answers.
This post is meant to help anyone who struggles with lying and being deceitful as well as those wanting to help themselves and others in this area. If you are not a child of God and have not asked the Lord to forgive you of your sins, now is the time to seek Him. Click Here to read a letter from His heart to you.
The Definition of Deception
The very definition of deception means that those who are deceived do not know or believe they are deceived. So, it’s vital that we, as believers, are on guard against this trap from the enemy and diligently seek after the truth found only in God’s Word.
When you do something wrong and you know it’s wrong that’s not deception. That’s making a really poor choice. The only deception in this is the idea that there will be no consequence to what you’re doing.
The Nature Of Deception
The nature of deception is a work of fear that begins with questioning. Instead of going back to the Source, they let questioning lead them away. That’s deception.
Knowing how easy it is to be swept away into deception, Paul strongly warned us to “take heed” in 1Timothy 4:16.
Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.
1Timothy 4:16
To take heed means to beware, perceive and consider carefully. That means we need to prepare ahead of time to judge those things that present themselves as truth. And we should be able to discern quickly and accurately, using the knowledge we have built up.
True Deception Is Much Deeper
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.
2Timothy 4:3-4
“Itching ears” are those that only want to be told what they want to hear. They want the message of God restyled to fit the times and the flow of society. This leads to mixing truth and falsehood until the accurate picture of Christ and Christianity is no longer presented.
That’s the definition of deception. Being swept away into believing as truth what you didn’t believe previously. That’s what happened in the Garden of Eden.
Satan’s Earthy Recruits
These evil beings are actively gathering human helpers through deceit. They lie and tell people what they want to hear or try to scare them in a certain direction through their fraudulence.
They deceive many into believing they will become rich, famous, powerful, etc. However, they lie and manipulate many, for their own war against God and those that follow Him. Moreover, there is ALWAYS a catch and very teeny tiny fine print in the “contract”.
So, let’s take a look at the many Scriptures that deal with lies and deception. This is by no means an exhaustive list. However, by taking your time to review and study the information you should be better equipped to determine scripturally how to be more aware of lies and deception.
Satan The Master of Lies and Deception
For more scriptural information concerning Satan click here and here.
- Revelation 12:9 – So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
- 1John 1:8 – The person who practices sin belongs to the evil one because the Devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason that the Son of God was revealed was to destroy what the Devil has been doing.
- 2Corinthians 11:14-15 – And no wonder! For Satan, himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore, it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.
The Serpent said…
- Genesis 3:4-5 – But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
- Genesis 3:12-13 – The man replied, “It was the woman you gave me who gave me the fruit, and I ate it. Then the Lord God asked the woman, “What have you done?” The serpent deceived me,” she replied. “That’s why I ate it.”
The Antichrist in the Tribulation is indwelled by Satan
It is important to also look at the Antichrist aka Lawless one and the deceit he unleashes.
For more concerning the Tribulation period click here. For more concerning the Antichrist click here.
- Daniel 8:25 – “Through his cunning He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule; And he shall exalt himself in his heart. He shall destroy many in their prosperity. He shall even rise against the Prince of princes; But he shall be broken without human means.
- 2Thessalonians 2:9-12 – The coming of the lawless [Antichrist] one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
- Revelation 13:14 – And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.
- Revelation 19:20 – And the beast [Antichrist] was captured, and with it the false prophet who in its presence had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.
The Master Deceiver Jailed 1000 years
- Revelation 20:3 – and he [the angel] cast him [Satan] into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things, he must be released for a little while.
- Revelation 20:7-8 – Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea.
After the 1000 Years Satan’s Sentence is Carried Out
Revelation 20:9-10 – They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
We see that in the end as God has revealed, Satan will not succeed in overtaking the throne of God. However, this fallen angel will not give up and is determined to take as many of those made in the image of God out. Especially the Followers of Jesus Christ. SATAN HATES YOUR GUTS!
Lies and Deception is Increasing Exponentially
Deception is increasing at an exponential rate. Many people in the world are being deceived. Unfortunately, that includes Christians also. Increasing deception is a sign that we are nearing the return of Jesus.
Below you will find the scriptural truth from the Word of God concerning lies and deception. I recommend that you take your time and read through the complete post. However, I have broken out the scriptures into smaller categories so you can quickly go to a particular area in question.
Therefore, if it has not been a priority in the past, I encourage you to read God’s Word daily. Feed yourself on His Word and you will starve the devil. The more you feed yourself the truth from God’s Word, the less vulnerable you are to the lies and deceit flowing from the pit of hell.
Jesus Warns of Deception in the Last Days
- Matthew 24:4-5 – And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.”
- Matthew 24:11 – Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
- Matthew 24:24 – For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
The Apostle John Also Warns of Deception
- 1John 1:8 – If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
- 1John 2:26 – These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you.
- 1John 3:7 – Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.
- 2John 1:7 – For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
Are You Deceiving Yourself?
- Galatians 6:7 – Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.
- 1John 1:8 – If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
- Job 15:31 – Let him not deceive himself by trusting what is worthless, for he will get nothing in return.
Guard Your Heart from Deception
Deception usually begins in the heart as a result of honoring one’s personal will above the will of God. The will of man by nature does not love the truth. Therefore, the heart can be polluted by pride, greed, apathy, unforgiveness, and offense. These are all breeding grounds of deception. Moreover, not only can the devil deceive us, but those influenced by him can deceive us also. However, we can also deceive ourselves if, we don’t guard our hearts.
- Proverbs 4:23 NLT: Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.
- Jeremiah 17:9 – The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; Who can know it?
- Obadiah 1:3 – The pride of your heart has deceived you, … You who say in your heart, ‘Who will bring me down to the ground?’
- Jeremiah 49:16 – Your fierceness has deceived you, The pride of your heart, …Though you make your nest as high as the eagle, I will bring you down from there,” says the Lord.
- Deuteronomy 11:16 – Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them,
- Hebrews 4:12 – For the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Guard Your Mouth from Deception
- James 1:26 – If anyone among you thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.
- 1Peter 3:10 – For “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit;
- Psalm 34:13 – Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips from speaking deceit.
- Proverbs 4:24 – Put away from you a deceitful mouth, And put perverse lips far from you.
Guard Your Mind from Deception
- 1Corinthians 3:18 – Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.
- 2Corinthians 11:3 – But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
- Galatians 6:3 – For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
7 Ways To Avoid and Overcome Lies and Deception
1. We Must Be Alert and Watchful in These Last Days
- 1Peter 5:8 – Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
- 1Corinthians 16:13 – Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.
- Romans 13:11 – And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.
- And Jesus encouraged us to: “Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” – Matthew 26:41
In other words, as followers of Christ, we need to wake up and be on guard. Unfortunately, too many of us have become apathetic and complacent. Moreover, It’s time to wake up and be aware of what is going on around us and sensitive to the work of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, we must be aware of the tactics and devices of the demonic realm. We dare not allow ourselves to be outwitted and become a victim of deception.
2. Always Test the Spirits
1 Timothy 4:1 states: Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons…
We as Followers of Christ must test the person representing the Lord, and spirit that is working through them. It is imperative that we make sure they are from God. Moreover, just because a person talks about Jesus and quotes a few verses, or even does miracles, it means nothing if it does not align with Scripture.
Paul warned in 2Corinthians 11:14-15: And no wonder! For Satan, himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.
How would you expect false prophets to act? If they appeared as who they really are, people would run away. Therefore, they will manifest themselves as real servants of the Lord.
Try the spirits and make sure what you are seeing and hearing and experiencing is Biblical, consistent with Scripture, and true to it. If not, run, don’t walk away.
- 1Thessalonians 5:21 – But test everything; hold fast what is good.
- 1John 4:1 – Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
- 2Corinthians 11:13 – For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.
- 2Timothy 3:13-14 – But evil people and impostors will go from bad to worse as they deceive others and are themselves deceived…
- Revelation 2:2 – I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars…
God Reminds Us to Beware
- Jeremiah 14:14 – And the Lord said to me, “The prophets prophesy lies in My name. I have not sent them, commanded them, nor spoken to them; they prophesy to you a false vision, divination, a worthless thing, and the deceit of their heart.
- Jeremiah 23:36 NLT – But stop using this phrase, ‘prophecy from the LORD.’ For people are using it to give authority to their own ideas, turning upside down the words of our God, the living God, the LORD of Heaven’s Armies
- Jeremiah 29:8 – For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let your prophets and your diviners who are in your midst deceive you, nor listen to your dreams which you cause to be dreamed.
3. We Must Read the Word of God and be a Doer of the Word
This is an extraordinarily Biblically illiterate generation, and most Christians can only recite one or two Bible verses. That is a setup for deception.
We read in Psalm 119:11: Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You. If His Word isn’t hidden in you, then you can easily be led astray by an experience, vision, prophecy, or teaching.
Paul stated in Galatians 1:8: “But if I or an angel from heaven preach any other Gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.”
Therefore, if you want to keep from being deceived, know your Word, and reject what is not found in that Word. Otherwise, you have nothing to go on; one person’s experience is as “valid” as the next person’s.
John 17:17 – Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
Therefore, everything must be validated with the absolute truth of God’s Word, not man. Neither Jesus nor His followers ever deviated from the truth of the Word. If it’s not in there, it’s not from God.

- Jesus said in Matthew 4:4: … “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”
- 2 Timothy 2:15 – Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
- James 1:22 – But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
4. Pray for Discernment
1Corinthians 12:10 lists discerning of spirits as being one of the gifts or manifestations of the Holy Spirit in us and through us. It is not only the gift to discern demonic presences when they are somewhere or operating in someone. It’s also to discern the nature of a person’s spirit as well. Likewise, their motives, actions, and even their spiritual state at times.
Discernment seems to be entirely lacking in the western church today. It requires maturity to detect a lie, error, deception, deceiver, or wolf. Moreover, these things need to be confronted.
However, this gift is something that needs to be developed as well. And how do you develop this all-important discernment? By learning the Word of God, prayer, and by using it.
Hebrews 5:14 – But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
In an era when the world screams, “The Bible says judge not!” Jesus in fact stated in John 7:24: “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”
- Matthew 7:15 – Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
- Matthew 24:24 – For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
- 2Timothy 3:5 – having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
- Acts 20:29-30 – I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves.
- Romans 16:18 – for such people do not serve our Lord Christ but their own appetites. They deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting with smooth talk and flattering words.
- Ephesians 5:6 – Don’t let anyone deceive you with meaningless words. It is because of sins like these that God’s anger comes to those who refuse to obey him.
- Colossians 2:8 – Be careful that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deceit based on human tradition, based on the elemental forces of the world, and not based on Christ.
5. Cling to Jesus Christ
God created us for relationships. Therefore, a relationship with Him and a relationship with others is necessary. It starts with our relationship with the Lord. You will not be deceived if you fellowship with the Lord, pray, fedd on His Word, and worship Him. This is the only way you will remain sensitive to His voice and the leading of the Spirit.
For more information about Jesus Christ click here, here, here, here, and here.
6. Gather With Other Followers of Christ
We need each other Fellowship provides encouragement and strength. We need people in our life to hold us accountable and to help us grow. One of the biggest traps and dangers for deception is going it alone. When a believer becomes isolated, separated from God and others they become an easy target for deception.
- Hebrews 3:13 – but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
- Hebrews 10:24-25 – And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
- Proverbs 27:17 – As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.
- Matthew 18:20– [Jesus said] “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
Talk things out with others
Talk things out with others. There are many, many teachers, prophets, apostles, etc. in our age of superstar Christianity. And many wrongfully assume because a person has a large following, they must be from God.
Keep in mind, Hitler had a large following and Jesus a very small one, so never decide that a person is from God because they have a large following.
Do not assume that because a Christian book is a bestseller like Jesus Calling or The Shack or The Message that it is scriptural or true. All three of those books are full of errors.
Unfortunately, too many Christians have simply drunk the Kool-Aid instead of verifying the information against the Word of God. moreover, they accepted these works as truth because everyone else did.
However, if something doesn’t seem right, talk to some trusted godly friends who know the Word and discuss your concerns with them.
7. Ask questions
Moreover, question anything that seems off to you. Likewise, see if it lines up with the Scriptures. if I’m not talking about your own personal doctrinal preference. However, if there is a teaching, activity, or manifestation that just doesn’t seem right, question it.
For example, only people who have lost all sense of discernment believe slithering like a snake on the floor or other animal manifestations is a manifestation of the Spirit of the Holy God.
We are not to be senseless sheep. Jesus is our Chief Shepherd. We are accountable to know “whether these things are so.”
Now these people were more noble and open-minded than those in Thessalonica, so they received the message [of salvation through faith in the Christ] with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.
Acts 17:11
Moreover, don’t be afraid to ask questions about the background, teaching, and lifestyle of the messenger. Many people get deceived by overlooking little doctrinal issues, unscriptural practices, or ungodly lifestyles out of the public eye and choosing to follow a person regardless.
Therefore, this is one of the many reasons why we must gather with other believers. We all are at a different stage of maturity.
2 Timothy 3:16 – All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage];
We have not yet reached perfection. Moreover, until Christ returns, we won’t.
Believers Be Reminded
One of the many things the Word of God does is to remind us how to deal with the various situations we may come across. In the process of keeping ourselves from being deceived we are also reminded:
- Luke 21:8 – And he said, “See that you are not led astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he!’ and, ‘The time is at hand!’ Do not go after them.”
- John 16:13 – When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
- Colossians 2:8 – Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.
- 1John 2:4 – He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
- 1John 4:20 – If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
- 1Peter 2:1 – Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking,
- 1Peter 3:10 – For “He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit.
Let this be your declaration over lies and deceit.
“My lips will not speak wickedness, Nor my tongue utter deceit.”
Job 27:4
God Will Not Be Mocked
Galatians 6:7-9 – Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
Blessed is the Man
Psalm 32:2 – Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit.
A Few Causes Behind Deception
1Timothy 4:1 – Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons,
2Timothy 3:1-5 AMP – But understand this, that in the last days dangerous times [of great stress and trouble] will come [difficult days that will be hard to bear]. 2 For people will be lovers of self [narcissistic, self-focused], lovers of money [impelled by greed], boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane, 3 [and they will be] unloving [devoid of natural human affection, calloused and inhumane], irreconcilable, malicious gossips, devoid of self-control [intemperate, immoral], brutal, haters of good, 4 traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of [sensual] pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of [outward] godliness (religion), although they have denied its power [for their conduct nullifies their claim of faith]. Avoid such people and keep far away from them.
2Timothy 4:3-4 – For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.
Isaiah 30:10 – Who say to the seers, “Do not see,” And to the prophets, “Do not prophesy to us right things; Speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits.
Revelation 18:23 – The light of a lamp shall not shine in you anymore, and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you anymore. For your merchants were the great men of the earth, for by your sorcery all the nations were deceived.
Liars and Deceivers are themselves Deceived …
- 2Corinthians 4:4 – In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
- John 8:44 – You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
- Jeremiah 49:16 – Your fierceness has deceived you, The pride of your heart, O you who dwell in the clefts of the rock, Who hold the height of the hill! Though you make your nest as high as the eagle, I will bring you down from there,” says the Lord.
- 1Corinthians 6:9-11 – Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be deceived: No sexually immoral people, idolaters, adulterers, or anyone practicing homosexuality, no thieves, greedy people, drunkards, verbally abusive people, or swindlers will inherit God’s kingdom…
- 1John 2:22 – Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.
- 1John 1:10 – If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
- 1John 5:10 – …he who does not believe God has made Him a liar because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son.
Be Warned…
Galatians 6:7-9 – Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption…
Jeremiah 48:10 – Cursed is he who does the work of the Lord deceitfully…
The Lies and Deception of Rulers and the “Elite”
Be aware that any government that does not fear the Lord God will lie to you.
Jeremiah 9:6 – Your dwelling place is in the midst of deceit; Through deceit, they refuse to know Me,” says the Lord.
Money, power, and control are what it’s all about. Case in point, the Covid plandemic. Never before have we seen such coordinated efforts by leaders around the world and such corruption. Don’t fall and bow before the satanic-led regime.
God sees everything and the final judgment looms. Below are a few more scriptures that speak concerning their lies and deceit.
Deceptive Rulers and “Elite” are:
… you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the straight ways of the Lord? – Acts 13:10
- being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, – Romans 1:29
- “Their throat is an open tomb; With their tongues they have practiced deceit”; “The poison of asps is under their lips”; – Romans 3:13
- Their tongue is an arrow shot out; It speaks deceit; One speaks peaceably to his neighbor with his mouth, But in his heart he lies in wait. – Jeremiah 9:8
- You give your mouth to evil, And your tongue frames deceit. – Psalm 50:19
- For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple. – Romans 16:18
- For they do not speak peace, But they devise deceitful matters Against the quiet ones in the land. Psalm 35:20
- The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit; He has ceased to be wise and to do good. – Psalm 36:3
- They conceive trouble and bring forth futility; Their womb prepares deceit. – Job 15:35
The Deceivers Reward…
- Psalm 5:6 – You shall destroy those who speak falsehood; The Lord abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.
- Psalm 55:23 – But You, O God, shall bring them down to the pit of destruction; Bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days…
- Psalm 119:118 – You [The Lord God] reject all those who stray from Your statutes, For their deceit is falsehood.
- Jeremiah 23:30-32 NLT – “Therefore,” says the LORD, “I am against these prophets who steal messages from each other and claim they are from me. I am against these smooth-tongued prophets who say, ‘This prophecy is from the LORD!’ I am against these false prophets. Their imaginary dreams are flagrant lies that lead my people into sin. I did not send or appoint them, and they have no message at all for my people. I, the LORD, have spoken!”
- Ephesians 5:5 – For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
- James 1:15 – … when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.
- Jude 1:6 – And the angels who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling, He has kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment of the great day…
The god of this age has blinded those who do not believe…
2Corinthians 4:3-4 – But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
Finally, God gives unbelievers what they desire…
Romans 1:20-27 – For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
Eventually God will send a strong delusion to unbelievers…
2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 – The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason, God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Ephesians 5:6 – Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.
These Will not enter the Kingdom
Revelation 21:8 – But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
God Does Not Lie
Numbers 23:19 – God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
The Truth Will Set You Free
John 8:32 – And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
And there you have it.
I hope this endeavor has helped you understand the deception that began with Satan and flows to all those who reject Christ and also Christians who are not on the lookout for the lies and deceptions around us.
I want to also share this awesome link I came across on happyhealthyandprosperous.com to a scriptural prayer you can pray for yourself or others who are struggling with deception.
